The 44-year-old made news when he decided to jump ship from LIVE With Kelly and Michael to Good Morning America on April 19, but he isn't a stranger to controversial headlines.

He reportedly cheated on his second wife Jean Muggli — even allegedly flying a mistress from Canada to New York for a rendezvous while Jean was at their New Jersey home, caring for their 6-month-old twins!

"I feel so upset right now, I can't even think," she told the New York Post at the time.

Jean later accused him of physical and emotional abuse — as well as claiming he filmed his sister-in-law undressing.

"I had found video equipment in my bedroom," she testified to a Superior Court during their divorce battle. "He had been taping my sister Denise undressing."

She also testified that he wired her $30,000 as "hush money." Jean later received a $15.3 million divorce settlement, and never spoke about the incident again.

Then, his nasty split from Nicole Murphy in 2014 grabbed the attention of his fans as more cracks his in famed persona began to show.

"Michael is a far cry from the fun-loving guy you see on TV every morning," an insider revealed to Star at the time. "Michael has a mean side. He's selfish, and he hurts people."

"Their whole relationship was dysfunctional from the beginning," the source said, adding that Michael has a "short temper" and is "very controlling."

The insider explained that Nicole felt "scored and heartbroken" at the time their engagement ended — as he was rumored to have cheated on her multiple times. To get back at the star, she dumped him the day before his Football Hall of Fame induction.

"His biggest concern in life is his public image," the insider said. "He wanted her to play the role of doting fianceé by his side during the induction, but Nicole was tired of living a lie."

Now, Michael's new girlfriend, Kayla, 27, has a checkered past.

RadarOnline reported that she was arrested at just 14-years-old for disorderly conduct.

She was also involved in a burglary and charged with grand theft in 2005, when she was 18-years-old; she was accused of breaking into her 83-year-old grandmother's Port Charlotte, Fla. home and stealing $6,000 worth of jewelry.
