It was no secret that Jackson was obsessed with E.T. and, according to the source, it was just one of his many early obsessions.
"Even when Michael was a child, he would act out in very weird ways," said the source. "He would have a pet mouse that he used to talk to and he was extremely vigilant about washing his hands non-stop."

"These obsessions that he had never really went away throughout his life. They just manifested themselves in other ways," the insider said.

However, according to the source, it was Michael's "perverse" obsessions that ultimately caused his reputation to be tarnished! "When Michael was growing, up he was shamed for having sexual desires or thoughts. He was punished if we was ever caught looking at women," said the source.
"Michael's parents were Jehovah's witnesses, and did not like when Michael would act androgynous," the Jackson family insider told Radar. "Michael never felt so comfortable as when he was wearing a sequin getup. And makeup! He loved wearing makeup from a very early age."

Perhaps one of Michael Jackson's most famous relics was his throne fit for a King of pop! But privately, he was more low-key. "Michael's demeanor catered to what his parents always wanted him to be — a soft spoken gentleman," said the source. "He tried to pretend, and alluded to the fact that he was very pure and even would call himself a 'virgin.'"
