Cradle snatcher Mary Kay Letourneau is "constantly on edge" over having to leave her messy home amid her divorce to estranged husband Vili Faulaau. RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive photos of the sex offender's run-down abode!
The former schoolteacher, whose controversial affair with 12-year-old Faulaau when she was 34 became a national scandal in 1996, is thought to be close to a breakdown over the end of their 12-year marriage.
The mother-of-six, now 56, is said to barely leave her run-down, four-bedroom property in Seattle, Washington, and is still hoping to patch things up with 33-year-old Faulaau following his recent arrest for Driving Under the Influence on February 2.
Although Letourneau doesn't go out without makeup and perfectly-blow-dried hair, her house is a mess.
"There's garbage and broken furniture everywhere in her yard which annoys the neighbors," a source said. "She doesn't speak to any of them. She's been in the public eye for all the wrong reasons and although everybody in the area knows who she is, they don't like to talk about her."
The insider added, "Many people find it weird how they are divorcing but continue to be so close."
Letourneau was jailed twice for her sexual relationship with Faulaau and remains on the sex offender's register in Washington state. Her domestic relations with Vili since filing for divorce remain mysterious, with reports claiming he was still living with Letourneau, their two biological children and her four children from a previous marriage months after the divorce filing last May.
The source added, "Mary Kay always just wanted to settle into a normal life with Vili. They started a family and lived under the RadarOnline.com. But since the divorce was announced, they have been under increased scrutiny and pressure."
The insider claimed Letourneau is "constantly on edge" when out in public. "When she does venture out she is always looking over her shoulder, thinking people have recognized her in the street," the source claimed. "She'd like to go back to the way things were."
