Maddie Alrdridge is one lucky girl! Just weeks after her brush with death, the 8-year-old appears to be thriving.

Her stepdad, Jamie Watson took to Instagram to share a video of Maddie shooting hoops just like a normal kid. She even made the shot!

Back on February 4th, Maddie nearly died after crashing her ATV into a pond on her mother Jamie Lynn Spears' estate.

For minutes, family and paramedics were unable to free her from the mucky water, as her head was tangled in something below the surface.

When she emerged, she had no pulse. However, paramedics did not give up hope.

Miraculously, they were able to revive her before she was transported via helicopter to New Orleans Children's Hospital.

After days spent in serious condition, she was finally well enough to leave the the hospital. Her family credits the prayers of fans for helping to restore her health.

The first photos of Maddie following her release show frightening bruises on her neck.

However, her stepdad's new video shows that the little girl is well on her way to putting the horrifying incident behind her.
