Luke Perry died surrounded by his family and loves ones on Monday, March 4, in a California hospital, less than one week after suffering a massive stroke at age 52. Now, his heartbroken co-stars, pals and fans have taken to social media to voice their sadness over his death, and to honor his legacy. As fans know, the star was better known for his roles in hit shows Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale.
Following his health crisis, a neighbor of the late actor exclusively told RadarOnline.com that Perry led a healthy life, though in the years leading up to his passing he underwent surgery for back problems and had a minor cancer scare. It is unknown what caused his stroke, but his rep told reporters that doctors had to sedate him as soon as he was hospitalized on February 27. They hoped his brain would recover from the trauma caused by the sudden stroke, but it seems the damage was too severe, and his body shut down.
