London Attack: Woman Killed & Five Others Injured In Brutal Stabbing

Cops were called after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a man "seen in possession of a knife injuring people" in Russell Square, London. The attack left one woman dead and five others injured.
Woman Stabbed To Death In Central London
Police confirmed Thursday morning that the woman who was killed in the horrific stabbing was an American in her 60s.
Based on initial evidence, authorities have ruled out terrorism as a motive, instead calling the crime a spontaneous act of violence.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Identified as a Norwegian national of Somali origin, Rowley said, "So far we have found no evidence of radicalization."

"Whilst the investigation is not yet complete, all of the work that we have done so far, increasingly points to this tragic incident as having been triggered by mental health issues. At this time we believe this was a spontaneous attack and the victims were selected at random," he shared during an official press conference.
"We now know more about the victims – an Australian, American, Israeli and British – we have spoken to the relevant embassies," Rowley added of the other victims.
