Schreiber and Watts said goodbye to each other just hours before Schreiber and Minnie Driver’s sister, Kate Driver, were spotted together at the Oscars on January 26, 2017.
The Ray Donovan star looked resigned as he said goodbye to the mother of his children.
Schreiber gave Watts a strong embrace but later that night posed with his arm around Driver while her arm was draped over him at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.
Schreiber looked emotional as Watts left the house.
Watts and Schreiber announced they were “splitting as a couple,” in September 2016.
Schreiber’s affectionate hug preceded his public appearance for the first time with Driver.
He and Watts have two sons, Alexander, aka “Sasha,” 9, and Samuel, and were together for 11 years. “It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship,” they said at the time of the split.
Watts and Driver have been friends for years, often seen together on red carpets and at events.
