"Stress can cause some people to lose their hair," Dr. Anthony Youn, who has not treated Jenner, exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

"This is a very common cause of thinning hair in adult men and women, and is typically only improved with stress reduction techniques like psycho therapy," Dr. Youn revealed.

"Surgery can cause an area of alopecia (lack of hair) due to damage to the hair follicles in the area. Most surgeries that cause these types of 'patches' involve removal of lesions like skin cancer," he told RadarOnline.com.

"Plastic surgery can sometimes cause small areas of hair loss, but not typically on the top of the head," Dr. Youn continued.

"For areas of thinning hair, there are many treatments, including medicines like Rogaine, low light laser therapy, and injections of PRP (platelet rich plasma)," he told RadarOnline.com.

A more drastic measure for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star would be a transplant, Dr. Youn explained. "Hair transplants are the only option for areas of actual alopecia (no hair at all)."

Dr. Youn told RadarOnline.com what he estimated Jenner could spend to have new hair in her bald spot: $4,000 to $10,000, "depending on the area."

Jenner's missing hair was nothing new. She was seen in May with a bald spot on the front of her head, and Dr. David Alessi of the Alessi Institutes, who had not treated Jenner, revealed more possible causes for 59-year-old Jenner's hair loss: "Surgery (a complication of a facelift can cause hair loss in areas lifted), autoimmune disease (where the body attacks its own tissues, such as lupus), infections (such as a fungal infection of the scalp), drugs (such as chemotherapy), hair treatments (such as chemical treatments to straighten hair or extensions that pull too tightly) and lastly, stress."

"The causes are wide-ranging and can be as followed: Aging/hormonal issues, such as too much thyroid hormone, either from disease or excessive thyroid hormone intake," Dr. Alessi, who has not treated Jenner, told RadarOnline.com in May. "This sometimes occurs when thyroid medicine is taken for weight loss."
