Season 12: After taking a tumble while practicing with her partner Hines Ward, Kym Johnson was rushed to the hospital for a neck injury. "After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff, though she is bruised, sore and currently wearing a neck brace," the show's producers said in a statement at the time. "Kym plans to continue with Hines Ward in the competition and resume rehearsals as soon as possible."

Season 21: Peta Murgatroyd had to pull out of Season 21 as Andy Grammar's partner due to an ankle injury including four torn ligaments and a piece of bone floating around in the back of her joint! The injury is going to require the dancing pro to undergo surgery and deal with 6-8 weeks of recovery.

Season 20: Rehearsals for the new season resulted in Derek Hough going to the ER for two injured feet.

Season 14: In the middle of her semi-final performance, Katherine Jenkins had a meltdown because she was suffering from lower back pain. "I'm with the Doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back," she said on Twitter. "The good news is that I'm feeling better, just a little sore."

Season 6: In the middle of Christian de la Fuente's samba, the soap star was sent to the hospital after a severe muscle cramp took hold of his arm. "When we were dancing I fell back into his arms and I heard something crack," Brooke Burke said afterwards.

Season 7: Following a live results show, Julianne Hough was hospitalized for stomach pain. "With stomach problems, you never know what's going on," she said in a social media post. "It could've been appendicitis. It turned out just to be a bad stomach. As my mom said, better safe than sorry."

Season 7: Just a day after stepping down from Season 7, Misty May-Treaner had to undergo surgery for a torn Achilles tendon. The surgery was "successful."

Season 8: Just shy of the premiere, Season 8 said goodbye to two competitors — Jewel and Nancy O'Dell — due to injuries. O'Dell suffered from a torn meniscus in her knee, and Jewel from fractured tibias.
