Kim Kardashian has openly confessed that she struggled to lose the 50 pounds of baby weight she gained while pregnant with North West. So now that she is in the midst of her second pregnancy, she is trying hard to stay fit and eat right so that she doesn't have to deal with the same issue again! Her personal trainer and Smartwater ambassador, Harley Pasternak, spoke exclusively to RadarOnline.com about what Kardashian is doing to stay in shape this time around.

After starting her second trimester, Kardashian's approach to exercise changed slightly. "She can basically do all the exercises that you can normally do," Pasternak tells Radar. "We just don't lay on your back and we don't do too much abdominal crunching work."

As far as her diet, Kardashian needs to eat a lot of fiber. "To get enough fiber is really important, especially when you're pregnant because sometimes the pregnancy vitamins can constipate," Pasternak says. "Vegetables of all kinds, fruits with edible skin or edible seeds, whole grains, milled oats, wheat berry, and seeds, chia seeds, Psyllium seeds, and flax... They pack a lot of good fiber and healthy fats."

There are also some food groups she must avoid. "You have to watch artificial sweeteners while you're pregnant and stay away from raw fish," Pasternak says. "For her, it's pretty easy staying away from cured meats and deli meats and things like that."

Kardashian has to also make sure to consume extra calories each day. "While you're pregnant, you need to eat 300 extra calories a day," Pasternak says. But that's hardly an excuse to go wild! Pasternak explains, "That's three tablespoons of peanut butter, not cakes and donuts. Eat healthy."
