Faking It? David Foster & Katharine McPhee Attend Party Amid Faux Relationship Rumors

David Foster & girlfriend Katharine McPhee were spotted looking ritzy and smitten at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards 2017 earlier this week. Their appearance came just days after RadarOnline.com exclusively reported claims that their relationship is fake! Katharine McPhee, 33, will do just about anything to get to the top of the Hollywood pyramid – including dating much-older musician David Foster, 68. The faux couple has been spotted out and about all over the world since news broke of their unlikely romance, yet sources have told RadarOnline.com that it’s all for show!
During their latest public outing, the duo was joined by Lionel Richie, 68, and much-younger girlfriend Lisa Parigi. Various other A-listers also attended the elegant event, and the duo could not have looked happier as they posed with them for the cameras.
“David and Katharine are conspiring to create a public buzz about their relationship!” a source told RadarOnline.com.
“David does not even like basketball,” the insider added after Foster and McPhee were spotted sitting front row at a Lakers game last week. “It was just a photo op. He can’t even name one player on the team. Except Kobe Bryant, who hasn’t even played for the layers in years!”
Speaking of the couple’s recent public appearances, the source said, “David is desperate to get back on the reality television circuit and has been since he split with Yolanda. Recently, he’s been pitching a show based on himself called The Prince of Malibu.” Likewise, “Katharine is desperate to stay famous,” continued the source. “She is getting close to David because she really wants a part in the upcoming musical about iconic character Betty Boop. Not only that, but David is also apparently helping her to record a pop album.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Foster recently wrapped up his divorce from former supermodel Yolanda Hadid, 53. McPhee also recently battled through her nasty divorce from Nick Cokas, 52. The actress’ relationship with Cokas ended when she was caught cheating on him with her Smash director, Michael Morris.
