Kensington Palace Aide Hides N Word Painting Before The Obamas Visit

Minutes before Barack and Michelle Obama arrived for a visit to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Friday night, the word "negro" was hastily removed from a painting in Kensington Palace.

The President and First Lady made their way to meet with Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, as an assistant allegedly spotted the painting's plaque, which was title The Negro Page.
According to the Daily Mail, "frantic removal took place inside the drawing room to avoid causing offense to the American couple."

The publication claims that a potted plant was placed over the plaque's position.
