According to Us Weekly, Sweeting sought spousal support, which — according to their prenup — he is entitled to. Court documents obtained by the publication also state that the 28-year-old hopes to terminate the court's power to grant spousal support to his estranged wife.

On September 25, 2015, the couple released a statement on their decision to split after just 21 months of marriage.
