Two years after suffering a brain aneurysm, the 73-year-old music legend stunned onlookers with her bloated appearance at Elton John’s 70th birthday bash in Los Angeles on March 25. “Joni was unrecognizable!” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com.
“She’s packed on a ton of weight, and couldn’t stand on her own. Two people practically had to lift her into her car after the event,” said the onlooker. “Sadly, it looks like she may have only months to live!”
As RadarOnline.com reported, the Big Yellow Taxi singer was rushed to the hospital in 2015 after being found unresponsive at her Bel Air, Calif., home. The aneurysm reportedly left her in a coma and she spent months in the hospital undergoing intense physical therapy.
Mitchell has also battled a mysterious condition known as Morgellons disease that reportedly creates fibers that sprout from the victim’s body. She said Morgellons made her feel she was being “eaten alive” by parasites under the skin.

“At the height of my illness, I couldn’t even wear clothing. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t leave my house for seven years,” she confessed.
But many physicians are skeptical the disease even exists. “There’s a great controversy about it,” said Dr. Gabe Mirkin, who has not treated Mitchell. “It has not been proved.” But if real, “it could damage every tissue in her body,” he said.
Mitchell has struggled with a number of health issues over the years. She survived a bout of crippling polio at age 9, and had scarlet and dengue fever. She has also battled insomnia, depression, paranoia and abscessed ovaries.
The eight-time Grammy winner now suffers from memory problems, and has 24/7 care, said sources.
Said one heartbroken fan, “She looks like she’s not long for this world.”
