Jessica Simpson high school sweetheart has shared blast-from-the-past photos of the pop star – check out the must-see moments!
Chris Etchieson, Simpson's once flame, has released rare images of the fashion mogul – before she was famous!
The singer was reportedly known as one of the most popular girls at J.J. Pearce High School in Dallas, Texas.
Simpson was, unsurprisingly, on the cheer squad.
She's been performing since day one!
Etchieson, pictured here, was one of the many admirers Simpson had.
On their relationship, Etchieson recalled: "I got lucky because she was the hottest girl in our group. We became close, good friends. We would chat in the school hall and I got to know her really well."
Little did Simpson know, she would meet first husband Nick Lachey just one year later!
Simpson famously made a vow to remain a virgin until marriage and accepted a purity ring at the age 12 from her father Joe, a pastor at local Heights Baptist Church.
"I don't think she necessarily craved the attention or liked being chased but there was always a star quality about her," Etchieson recalled.
The former flame also confessed that he used to run into Simpson's ex boyfriend Tony Romo, while working in the local Dallas airport.
"Whenever I would speak to him I could tell Jessica definitely wore the trousers," he said.
Later, he added: "From what I heard she's pretty tough and is really hard work in a relationship. I guess that's what happens when you have two high profile relationships in the public eye."
Of course, Etchieson holds Simpson as "the one that got away."
