Jennifer Lopez is still riding high at age 50, proving she's as sexy as ever, and not letting the landmark birthday slow her down.
In fact, J.Lo has already been celebrating with her cross-country "It's My Party" tour, which wraps up its U.S. dates with a three-night set in Miami starting July 25, one day after she turns the big 5-0.
Jennifer first started her journey to superstardom as a "Fly Girl" dancer in 1991 on the Fox show In Living Color. She left in 1993 to pursue an acting career, and in 1997 received a Golden Globe nomination for her first leading role, playing slain musician Selena in the biopic of the same name.
In 1999, the dancer-actress-producer added another hyphenate – singer – with the release of her debut album On the 6. That collection went triple-platinum and spawned the hits "If You Had My Love" and "Waiting for Tonight."
Now, as she settles down a tad with younger fiancé Alex Rodriguez, she is anxious to cement her sex symbol status. Jennifer plays a stripper in the upcoming movie, Hustlers, the true story of a group of former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.
The role required some special pole-dancing, which the film's writer and director, Lorene Scafaria, told Vulture the star dominated like everything else she does.
"She's obviously such an unbelievable dancer, but she trained so hard-core for this," Scafaria said. "Pole dancing is not like anything else. It required muscles you don't know you have. So we did treat it a little bit like a sports movie in that way."
