Aniston, 49, compared her role in the Netflix movie Dumplin to her strained relationship with her mother, who passed away at age 79 after a series of strokes. "One of the reasons I really loved the mother-daughter aspect of it was because it was very similar in a way to what my mother, and our relationship, was," she told The Sunday Telegraph. "She was a model and she was all about presentation and what she looked like and what I looked like. I did not come out the model child she'd hoped for and it was something that really resonated with me, this little girl just wanting to be seen and wanting to be loved by a mom who was too occupied with things that didn't quite matter."

In court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com in 2017, Dow left her estate to her granddaughter Eilish Melick instead of Aniston and her half-brother John T. Melick III. The court papers claimed John called his daughter a “b***h” and said he wanted her “out of his f**king house” when he realized Nancy changed her will in 2015.

Eilish claimed her father “berated and emotionally abused” her “for a week” over the disinheritance. Eilish agreed to pay $100,000 to her younger brother and $65,000 to her father. Aniston signed a letter saying she wanted no further part in the case.

Eilish told RadarOnline.com when asked about her aunt’s comments, “I would not like to talk about it.”
