Shocking 911 Call
As RadarOnline.com broke, authorities responded to the home after an unidentified male placed the call on Tuesday, April 30.
Ongoing Investigation
“A call was made today, and it was relayed that the woman’s husband had killed her dog,” the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office told RadarOnline.com on April 30. “The Sheriff is out there right now investigating and there will be an incident report filed later.”
Not Behind Bars
But Public Information Officer Michele Tatum exclusively told RadarOnline.com on Wednesday, May 1 that “no arrests were made." "Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the location but were unable to make contact with anyone at the residence," the PIO said. "A deputy was dispatched to the residence this morning for follow up contact. The deputy made contact with the homeowner, Mr. Eason. The deputy confirmed that the occupants of this residence were okay. There was no evidence to substantiate further investigation."
Protecting His Family?
Although the investigation is closed, Animal Control has been contacted.
Defensible?
David took to social media to defend his disturbing actions, blaming the dog snapping at their 2-year-old daughter. He even posted a video of the harmless incident.
Excuses
“I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,” he wrote. “Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I don’t put up with that s**t at all.”

He continued, “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isn’t the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively.” The disturbing rant ended with, “The only person that can judge whether or not an animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”
So Sad
Instead of defending her husband’s actions, Jenelle posted a tribute to her late pooch.
RIP
“Nugget… I’m crying everyday,” she said. “I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed… you’re not here.”
Sorry, Nugget
She ended the heartbreaking post with, “You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught.”
Distraught
A source told RadarOnline.com following the incident that Jenelle is “devastated.”
Fleeing David
“She doesn’t want to go home,” the insider said
