Eason is to appear in court on January 28, 2019 at 9am. If he does not attend his court hearing, he will be held in contempt of court.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Eason posted a video to his YouTube page on December 19 entitled “Blocked In Parking Spot.” He could be seen towing a truck parked near his boat. Wife Evans, who recorded the video, could be heard saying, “When you park this close with no money in the meter… Pulled that mother**ker out of the way.”
Spokesperson for WPD Jennifer Dandron exclusively told RadarOnline.com at the time that the incident was investigated when it happened in June 2018. “We didn’t have a lot to go off of,” she explained. “We’re very busy. When you don’t have a lot to go on, it falls to the waist side.” She said Eason's actions are an “absolutely inappropriate way to handle disputes.” She even admitted Eason posting the video “helped” the investigation.
WECT 6 News spoke to Terry Hill, who claimed he is the owner of the towed vehicle. He explained how vehicles with legally-registered handicapped signs can park for free in metered spots. Hill claimed he had to repair his transmission and the power steering hose.
Although the Wilmington Police Department declined to file charges against Eason, Hill went forward with the charges.
