MTV confirmed Radar's story that they are firing Jenelle with a statement that read, “MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”
An insider told Radar, “MTV execs were purposefully vague in their statement about Jenelle not being on this season."

“If Jenelle decided to divorce David and really move on with her life then they would consider bringing her back,” the insider told Radar.
“But it will be a long time,” the source insisted about a Jenelle's return to Teen Mom 2. “There are no current plans to film with her, but the door is not completely shut.”
Jenelle would need to do "more than go to counseling with David" to be back on the show.
“She would have to have him completely out of her life, and it doesn’t look like she’s going to do that,” the insider explained.
The source pointed out Amber Portwood’s return after her prison stint was complete. Farrah Abraham was also asked to return to the show the for the Teen Mom OG reboot mid-season.
Jenelle was defiant in her response about being fired from MTV.
“I’m working to fix my marriage,” she told Usmagazine.com after she got fired.
“It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV,” she said about her firing after David killed her dog.
“Jenelle’s devotion to David will keep her off MTV, but if she can find it in her to leave then they would consider having her back,” the source told Radar.
Jenelle’s co-stars wanted nothing to do with her after David’s horrific actions. Leah Messer, said she was thrilled with the firing. “I could NEVER support or condone animal cruelty!” she said. Leah’s ex-husband Jeremy Calvert echoed her opinion, writing “#bye#bye#bye” after Jenelle was fired.
Despite rumors that Jenelle and David will film for Marriage Boot Camp, the show tweeted that they have "no plans to cast" the couple.
