Jenelle Evans has been accused of child abuse after a scene aired of her youngest son begging for food on Teen Mom 2. The shocking footage cost the mother-of-three her job.
Earlier this week, Evans, 26, promoted the food company Blue Apron on her Instagram by cooking one of the meals.
After the video was posted, viewers slammed Blue Apron for choosing Evans to be an advertiser.
“I will pass on Blue Apron now that I know you support Jenelle Evans,” one user tweeted, as a second wrote, “By @blueapron having Jenelle Evans as an advertiser for your company is a bad idea. She's a drug addict who abuses her kids on TV. You just lost my business. Good job. I won't be the only one. #blueapron #teenmom.”
The company fired Evans amid the backlash. “Thanks for reaching out,” Blue Apron tweeted. “We will no longer be advertising with Jenelle.” A user responded, “I will restart my meal plan order because you listened and did the right thing.”
Last season, Evans was accused of child abuse when her son Kaiser with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith cried for her to feed him. #SaveKaiser began trending on Twitter. As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Griffith’s mom Doris Davidson filed an emergency request to gain full custody of Kaiser.
Evans has also been arrested for possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the past. In her book Read Between The Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, Evans opened up about her heroin use. “My first trip was amazing,” she wrote. “I won’t glamorize the drug by going into the long details of why people love it so damned much. Before I knew it, I was shooting up four or five times a day. I was hooked.”
Blue Apron did not respond to RadarOnline.com’s request for comment.
