Not So Fast! Jenelle Evans’ Ex Nathan Still Plans To Fight For Custody Of Son Kaiser
July 9 2019, Updated 12:47 p.m. ET
Jenelle Evans and David Eason won back custody of their children after a North Carolina judge dismissed the case against them on Wednesday, July 3.
The fired Teen Mom 2 star has been rejoicing all weekend, as she posted photos with her kids on Fourth of July weekend, the first time she’s had them in her care since May.
But Jenelle and David aren’t out of the woods yet, as the father of her 5-year-old son Kaiser, Nathan Griffith, plans to keep fighting for custody of their only child together.

Custody Schedule
A source told RadarOnline.com that the custody plans in place before their rights were temporarily taken away in May are in full effect. Nathan has supervised visits with his son every other weekend.
What Custody War?
“It’s like nothing happened,” a source told RadarOnline.com.
Dad To The Rescue
But Jenelle, 27, shouldn’t feel comfortable with her custody win just yet, as the insider claimed Nathan plans to continue the custody case he filed against her in 2018.
Still Fighting
As RadarOnline.com reported, Nathan filed a motion to modify custody in July 2018, asking for full legal and physical custody of Kaiser. Nathan accused David of being “violent” and a “danger.” He also accused Jenelle of testing positive for THC at Kaiser’s birth. The case was put on hold amid the CPS custody war.
RIP Nugget
In April, David shot and killed the family dog Nugget for nipping at their 2-year-old daughter Ensley. The shooting resulted in her termination from Teen Mom 2 and in CPS removing the children from their care.
Shocking Ruling
Then in May, Jenelle and David temporarily lost custody. A judge ordered Maryssa, David’s daughter from a previous relationship, to be in his ex-mother-in-law’s custody, Kaiser to be in Griffith’s mom Doris’ care and Ensley to be with her mom Barbara. Jace, 9, was to remain with Barbara since she has full custody of him.
House Of Horrors
The judge told Jenelle that she “failed to protect the children while they were in her care.” The source previously told RadarOnline.com, “The judge heard testimony that David and Jenelle were constantly screaming and arguing, and the children were terrified.” The insider added, “CPS described the state of the home as horrific. It was filthy and there were holes in all of the walls.”
Faking It?
Then on Wednesday, July 3, a judge dismissed the case. Although Jenelle and Nathan seemed to get along at Kaiser’s 5th birthday party, which the judge allowed Jenelle and David to attend, the two fought over Twitter after the case was dismissed.
Speaking Out
On Sunday, July 7, Nathan wrote on Twitter, “I’ve calmed down a bit and just relying on my faith at this moment.” He then asked followers to complete a survey on the judge.
Fighting Back!
Jenelle responded by bashing her baby daddy over social media. “Want to share to the world how many times you were late to court and on breaks?” she wrote on Twitter. “Want to share how your cell phone went off in the middle of our hearings? Want to share how many times you and your side chick break up and get back together?”
More Digs!
She continued, “Want to share how you took off to Florida as soon as you heard the news Kaiser was back with me? You didn’t stick around for anything. You don’t even help your mom with your sick step dad. You put on the biggest front. You even make my mom sick.”
Final Words
She ended the now-deleted rant with, “One of the hardest issues of my life consists of dealing with the most immature people that cannot co-parent.”
