Jane Fonda Reveals Skin Cancer Battle

Eight years after a breast cancer scare, Jane Fonda has been diagnosed with skin cancer, the icon revealed today on The Stern Show. She also stepped out this afternoon in New York with a large bandage around her lip and chin area. "It hurt!" the 80-year-old admitted to Howard Stern. Fonda stopped by the Howard Stern show on Monday, where she revealed she was suffering from cancer located on her lip.
Fonda arrived in the studios with her co-star Lily Tomlin to promote their Netflix series, Frankie and Grace, donning a bandaged lip.
"I feel like your skin cancer is bothering you. Does it hurt?" the Shock Jock asked. Fonda insisted it didn't.
"Do they dig into your face to take out one of those cancers?" Stern followed up. "Not my face, my lip," Fonda clarified.

"It hurts!" Fonda admitted. Stern thanked her for showing up, despite her recent procedure.
"Thanks for showing up today, it looks like you had this recently," Stern observed. But Fonda remained positive. "Hey listen. The world is falling a part, what's a lip," she laughed.
Fonda assured everyone she was "going to be fine" after undergoing a procedure to remove the cancer.
"The message to young people — don't sit in the sun," Stern remarked. Fonda simply replied, "right."
In 2010, Fonda had a breast cancer scare. "I had a scare with a non-invasive breast cancer but it is ALL OUT NOW!!!’ Fonda wrote on her blog. "I am so lucky."
