New 'Teen Mom 2' Star Jade Cline's Mom Off The Hook In Meth & Pills Bust

Jade Cline expressed her concerns about her mom Christine Smith's years-long struggle with addiction when she was on Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant.

When MTV announced that Jade is joining Teen Mom 2 to replace fired star Jenelle Evans, the new cast member had a shocking admission of her own: her parents had just been arrested.

"In my new season, both of my parents were just incarcerated," she said on part three of the Teen Mom 2 reunion. "They've been strung out for so long. They're binge addicts. It hurts because I've grown up and I haven't had my mom there."

RadarOnline.com then broke details of their shocking drug arrest, where Christine was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Her step-father Michael was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal there is a decision in the drug case — and the outcome is shocking!

Shocking Decision

The clerk of court for Marion County exclusively confirmed to RadarOnline.com that a motion to dismiss was filed by the State of Indiana on Wednesday, August 14. The order was granted, and all of the charges against the couple were dismissed.

In an Affidavit obtained from Marion County Court, a police officer was dispatched to investigate a possible overdose on Thursday, May 9. When the officer arrived to the vehicle, Christine and Michael were waking up. Christine and Michael said they were "fine."

"Officer Anderson asked Mr. Smith if there was anything in the vehicle that Officer Anderson should know about," the report claimed. "Mr. Smith said there was weed on the floor board."

When the officer inspected the vehicle, marijuana was located. Officer Anderson also observed a metal pipe that the officer recognized is used to digest banned substances into the body.

"Officer Anderson then searched the back seat of the passenger side and looked inside a duffle bag with male clothing inside," the Affidavit read. "Officer Anderson pulled out a camo bag and Mr. Smith said, 'Those are my knives.'" The officer then pulled out a small black container that contained weed residue, a one hit pipe, two other pipes, scissors, a larger pipe and cigarette paper and a larger pipe.

A second officer noticed Christine was breathing heavily and making minimal eye contact. When he searched her wallet, he found a crystal-like substance that he suspected to be methamphetamine. "When Officer Gold pulled a piece of paper from the bag, Mrs. Smith said, 'that is also meth.'" The officer then located a glass pipe with burn marks and a white residue on it.

A third officer "located orange pills wrapped in a plastic and black scale. Mrs. Smith said the pill was suboxone." They were arrested and transported to Marion County lock up.

As RadarOnline.com broke, she was also arrested for possession of cocaine and theft on March 8, 2014. She agreed to a plea deal and pled guilty to conversion, which is attempt to commit, while the other charges were dismissed on August 11, 2014. She was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 361 days suspended. She was placed on probation for 365 days. She was also ordered to complete substance abuse evaluation and treatment.

On Young and Pregnant, Jade opened up about her mom's addiction issues. "I'm hoping my mom will be able to help me when the baby gets here, but I'm not sure I can count on her because my parents have struggled with addiction in the past," she explained. "My mom has been in and out of jail and rehab many times growing up. It did affect me a lot."

Jade is replacing Jenelle on Teen Mom 2 after she was fired from the series. Her termination came after her husband David Eason, who was fired a last year for homophobic comments, shot and killed the family dog.
