A late bloomer, Jack Nicholson didn't lose his virginity until his early 20s, a new memoir, Nicholson, by Marc Eliot claims. In the late 50s, a blonde Southern student in his acting class, Georgianna Carter, was his first lover. He's certainly made up for lost time since!

Jack married his first wife, Sandra Knight, in 1962. He later remembered, "While the ceremony was going on, that part of me that, at night, half believes in God, was looking upward and saying, 'Now remember, I'm very young, and this doesn't mean I'm not ever going to touch another woman." They divorced in 1968.

Actress and gogo girl Mimi Machu was Jack's companion in the early 70s. "We were two maniacs," she's said of their chemistry. Jack agreed, saying, "I'm interested in sex. I'm preoccupied with sex. I love it."

When Jack first started dating Michelle Phillips, he "slept with a hammer under his pillow," according to Eliot, because he feared her ex, Dennis Hopper, would attack him in a jealous rage. She later got pregnant by Jack but had a miscarriage.

In 1978, Jack tried to seduce model Gia Carangi, but she turned him down. "Jack took a long hard look at himself in the mirror to find out why she didn't fall on her knees for him," Eliot writes. "What he saw was a man who was forty and fat, and nearly bald." He began hair transplants the next day, Eliot says. She would die of AIDS in 1986.

Kelly LeBrock and Jack crossed paths at Studio 54 in the late 70s, and reportedly had a fling.

Jack's relationship with Julie Delpy fizzled because he felt too old, Eliot claims.

Jack and model Veruschka von Lehndorff had a hot, short-lived relationship in the early 1980s.

Jack and model Pat Cleveland reportedly hooked up in the early 1980s after spending time together on NYC's club scene.

Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss has claimed she bedded Jack.

Costume designer Lynette Bernay was another of Jack's conquests, according to reports.

Jack had a love child named Caleb with Susan Anspach while he was dating Anjelica Huston. She later showed up at his house with the boy, demanding Jack be involved in his life, Eliot writes.

Rita Moreno claims Jack once told her he'd wait to see her at the studio gates every morning. "He didn't know who I was, but he said, 'You were solo sexy' you know with that leer of his," she's said. "And he said, 'You wore these very tight white dresses and you were always very tanned and I would wait for you. You'd give me heart attacks."

Candice Bergen was rumored to have hooked up with Jack during the filming of Carnal Knowledge in 1971.

"I would certainly say she's the love of my life," Jack once said of Anjelica Huston. "We've striven for a straightforward, honest, yet mature relationship … I ask her to marry me all the time. Sometimes she turns me down, sometimes she says yes. We never get around to it." According to Eliot, they slept together the first night they met.

Andy Warhol habitué Barbara Allen says she dated Jack Nicholson for "a little more than a nanosecond" during the Studio 54 days.

In 1977, Jack spent "an awful lot of time" with model Jill St. John while he was taking a break from movie-making in Colorado.

Eliot says Madonna was "a twirl girl" for Jack before she hooked up with Sean Penn.

Jack first met Lara Flynn Boyle when the two of them snuck into a men's room during a party, Eliot claims. They split after she began to complain about his age, according to the book.

During the filming of Ironweed, cast members complained to the press about Jack's hot relationship with his co-star Meryl Streep. "Whatever is going on inside his trailer, it's starting to get out of hand, to the point where it's embarrassing a lot of people on the set," one source told the Los Angeles Herald in 1987.

Kim Basinger called Jack "crazy, nasty, and the most highly sexed human I've ever known," after filming Batman with him.

In 1997, 59-year-old Jack was spotted at a London sex revue called Voyeurz. He brought one of its stars, Christine Salata, back to his suite with him for two days.
