'Unthinkable!' California Mom Found Slaughtered In Her Own Home

A Huntington Beach mom was murdered in her own home this week, in a crime that has shocked the quiet southern California Oceanside town. Jason Becher was arrested in Oregon for the murder of MaryLou Sarkissian, a 41-year-old mother of three from Huntington Beach, Calif. Becher and Sarkissian reportedly knew each other.
The SeaSalt Woodfire Grill in Huntington Beach shared photos from a candlelight ceremony on December 4, 2016. "Last night we held a vigil for our fallen community member MaryLou Sarkissian, who is no longer with us due to an unthinkable act of violence," the restaurant shared in a post on Facebook. "I am proud to see our community come together to be here for this amazing family and hold them up to get through this tragedy."

Sarkissian was found dead in her home in Orange County on Friday, December 2, 2016, after a friend of Becher's contacted police to do a welfare check on her "based on comments" he allegedly made, according to NBC4 News.
Sarkissian was found dead about 1 p.m. after a friend of Becher asked police to conduct a welfare check at the woman's home in the 9300 block of Litchfield Drive, Huntington Beach Police Department Public Information Officer Jennifer Marlatt said.
In a tragic twist, Sarkissian's oldest son was at home playing video games when police knocked on the door. He had assumed she wasn't home, NBC4 News reported. Stay with RadarOnline.com for updates to the story.
