Berry and Martinez began dating in 2010 on the set of Dark Tide. They went on to marry in 2013 while Berry was pregnant with their son, Maceo-Robert.

But as RadarOnline.com told you first, things have been far from perfect in their marriage, and their split has been in the works for months. Now, in a joint statement to People, the couple formally announced their decision to split. "It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce," they said. "We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children's privacy as we go through this difficult period."

Back in 2012, Martinez got into a physical fight with Berry's ex, Gabriel Aubry, the father of her daughter Nahla. Despite this worrysome altercation, Berry stuck by her man.

But sources say that Martinez's anger was a consistent problem in their relationship, and that Berry demanded that he seek counseling if he wanted to continue their marriage.
