And several fans speculated that it might be a 'hickey' from her beau Blake Shelton.
The blemish was clearly visible as she swept her famous blonde hair away from her face.
Despite the mark the 49-year-old stunner looked in good spirits as she visited her local service in Los Angeles with her eldest son Kingston, 12.
There has been growing speculation in recent weeks that she is about to get engaged to her beau 42-year-old country singer Shelton.
The pair has remained tight-lipped about their romance but they are understood to be very happy right now.

The star wore her blonde hair down with lashings of make-up, however, the mark on her neck was still clearly visible.

Stefani also clutched a chic black handbag as she walked quickly into the service.
This weekend she has also been spending time with her youngest son Apollo from her relationship with rocker Gavin Rossdale.
