E! star Giuliana Rancic has an undoubtedly stressful career. But recently, after the death of Fashion Police co-host Joan Rivers, the already-thin entertainment television appears to have lost even more weight — and RadarOnline.com has learned that friends and fans have noticed. Click through these 16 shocking photos to see why so many are worried.
"There is an old saying that goes, ‘You can never be too rich or too thin.' In reality, it IS possible to be too skinny," , MD FACS, who has not treated Rancic, tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
"Giuliana Rancic looks like she has lost around 10 pounds recently, which doesn't sound like a lot, but when you are already a size zero, that can mean the difference between a healthy BMI and an unhealthy one," Dr. Salzhauer says.
Ranic's online fans are also expressing concern over her current physical state. On Instagram, @bonolo12345 commented on a recent photo that Rancic posted, saying, "I love her but I'm worried about her."
"Being too skinny can have adverse consequences, including a decreased ability to fight infection and a loss of muscle mass," Dr. Salzhauer tells RadarOnline.com.
A source close to Rancic, who works at E!, tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, "It is so sad, and the worst part is that no one is saying anything to her."
"They work her to the bone and she really needs to take some time off to get healthy," the source claims.
The insider adds, "She is such a sweet woman and she is so vital to E!, but lately she just has this empty stare about her and keeps to herself. This is not how she always has been."
"The wardrobe department at E! literally have to pin back nearly everything that she wears now," the insider tells RadarOnline.com.
Another fan of Rancic's on Instagram, @chad.linke, suggests that Rancic looks like she may have an "eating disorder."
"She is exhibiting signs of facial temporal wasting," claims Dr. Salzhauer.
"This tends to make people look older and more gaunt appearing," Dr. Salzhauer adds.
Dr. Salzhauer says, "With Giuliana's history of breast cancer, I pray that she is alright and has just been working too much to eat right."
Another Instagram fan of the television host, @jacksonyolander, commented on a recent photo on Rancic's Instagram, saying, "You need to gain some weight. You are too skinny to the point that it does not look healthy."
The network insider adds that Rancic deserves a vacation, but may be "afraid that she will be replaced if she takes a leave of absence."
"The Giuliana that you see on TV is not the same woman that walks into work in morning," says the source.
Rancic's fans continue to show their support in the midst of concern. @Ginny383 wrote, "Not looking well… best wishes xxxx" and another fan, yasmincolore, said, "Please eat something!!!"
