Jenelle Evans’ husband David Eason has been fired from Teen Mom 2 after going on a homophobic Twitter rant – and stars from the franchise are rejoicing. Farrah Abraham and Javi Marroquin exclusively reveal to RadarOnline.com their thoughts on his termination.
“This is a great learning opportunity for Jenelle and her children,” Abraham, 26, told RadarOnline.com. “I hope David equally understands that this world needs to be aware of certain vocabulary that is off limits.”
As readers know, Abraham was fired from the series in October because of her return to the adult film industry – she filed a $5 million lawsuit against the network for harassment and wrongful termination. She added, “I'm happy MTV had one responsible firing!”
Kailyn Lowry’s ex-husband Marroquin told RadarOnline.com, “MTV handled it will.”
Leah Messer’s ex-husband Jeremy Calvert told OK! Magazine he was “very surprised” over the firing. “I didn’t think it was appropriate. I wasn’t raised that way.”
Eason caused controversy when he posted a photo of Evans holding a gun the day of the Florida school shooting and defended gun control. He then made anti-LGBT comments over Twitter. “Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot thats supposed to be normal,” Eason tweeted at a follower.
MTV announced they have cut ties with Eason Tuesday night. “David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV,” the statement read. “With six weeks left of production on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.”
Evans could be on the chopping block too. “The execs at MTV are having a meeting on Wednesday to discuss firing Jenelle,” the insider told RadarOnline.com. “It isn’t looking good for her. They’re definitely leaning towards firing her.”
