Connie Britton’s character on Nashville suffered a brutal end when she died after a car crash, crushing her fans. But she's doing well in real life! The actress hit the beach for some fun in the sun with her family during the first days of her unemployment.
Britton, 50, hit up the beach in Cabo for a much-needed vacation after her shocking death on Nashville.
"There were a lot of different factors that played into it; it was a cumulative thing,” Britton admitted about her character Rayna James’ demise. But she looked thrilled to be on the beach and away from the set of the show.
"I don't need to go into great detail about what that was but for me, it felt like the timing was important and my No. 1 priority was the show and making sure that it was done in the right way," the Nashville star explained about her departure.
"It's weird for me, because I'm dead, but I'm here. Do you know what I'm saying?" Britton joked on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Thankfully for fans, the Nashville show runner revealed that Britton's character "will be seen in flashbacks http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/nashville-connie-britton-rayna-dead-what-happens-next-showrunner-interview-1201993472/#article-comments."
Britton had a blast on the beach playing with her son, leaving her Hollywood drama behind on the vacation.
She told Ellen DeGeneres that the singing for her character scared her, but she threw herself into the performance. "However, you know, I'm in my 40s, and as a woman in your 40s, it's good to, like, challenge yourself and do something new that scares the hell out of you," she said.
