A shooting took place near Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra's Michigan home – and the tragedy has left the Teen Mom OG stars shaken up. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal how the couple is handling the aftermath of a horrific shooting.

Lowell captioned a photo of her daughter on Instagram, "My world. My baby. I'm going to be holding you a lot closer and a lot tighter… and I'm never letting you go."

Her husband added on Twitter, "How can something so beautiful as life cause so much pain? Damn, this is way harder than I ever imagined."

The MTV stars were referring to a man who shot his wife at an indoor play center in St. Clair County. The man turned the gun on himself later at his home, reports claim.

"They're shaken up though," a source close to the couple told RadarOnline.com. "Nova, Cate and Ty's daughter, wasn't there but it was just super close to home. They've been there before, they're familiar with the place."

Baltierra admitted to the source that it is a "scary time to raise a child." "This weekend's tragedy just sort of floored them, but they're alright," the source said. "Ty was shaken though, no doubt. He was just keeps replaying the 'what-ifs' in his head."

The couple is considering themselves "lucky." "It's brought on their anxiety, unfortunately. But they're fine, happy to be together and feeling blessed."
