Last month, she stunned observers by sitting for a deposition in the lawsuit brought by her former manager, Sam Lutfi. Her lawyers had claimed for years that she was too unstable to be questioned.
Several weeks ago, the mother of Jayden, 9, and Sean Preston Federline, 10, posted this photo, showing that she is an independent woman! In the caption, Spears wrote, "Off to work!"

The NY Times article reported last month that according to the conservatorship, "Ms. Spears cannot make key decisions, personal or financial, without the approval of her conservators: her father, Jamie Spears, and a lawyer, Andrew M. Wallet. Her most mundane purchases, from a drink at Starbucks to a song on iTunes, are tracked in court documents as part of the plan to safeguard the great fortune she has earned but does not ultimately control."
Meanwhile, she has managed to become an amazing mother to both of the sons that she had with ex-husband, Kevin Federline! And her Las Vegas residency, Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood, continues to be a complete success.
According to a source close to Spears, "Britney's been doing a complete life overhaul this past year. She is really into hollistic healing and is not relying as heavily on prescription medications as she used to."
She's also single and loving it after a few very difficult breakups, said the source. She split from fiancé Jason Trawick in 2013 after four years together. She rebounded with David Lucado just a few months later, but they broke up in August 2014. Then, she dated Charlie Ebersol from November 2014 until last June. So, the last year marks her longest period single in quite a while.
Lucado told the New York Times, "If anyone knew the real Britney, they would know that she would rather be remembered for being the great mother she is rather than the artist she is."
"Britney has really been focused on meditation and has sworn of men, for now," the insider told Radar. "She is really trying to quit smoking too, and has taken up yoga. She is all about being healthy now."
