“He was kicked off the first episode,” a source close to production told RadarOnline.com of the pre-recorded episode. “He was miserable on set and would cry.”
The insider added how grandma and former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin “was the one that brought him to rehearsals, not Bristol.”
According to reports, Tripp got a payday of $50,000 for signing up for the ABC spinoff. He would’ve made up to $130,000 in total if he made it to the finale. DWTS Jr. is pre-taped and will premiere on October 7 on ABC.

Fortunately for Tripp, he’ll appear on Teen Mom OG alongside mom Bristol and dad Levi Johnston. Bristol, who is also mother to daughters Sailor and Atlee with ex-husband Dakota Meyer, confirmed the casting on Instagram.
During the MTV Video Music Awards, a sneak peek clip played of the 27-year-old mom talking to Sarah. “I was a teen mom. My life is not perfect at all,” she said, as her mom responded, “Amen!” Bristol then said, “I want to do what’s best for my kids.”
