The Strange Love star announced the happy news of her pregnant on Instagram earlier this week.
At the time, she shared a photo of her belly with the caption: “family getting larger #me #family #brigittenielsen #babybump” In the photo, she seemed to be fairly far along in her pregnancy!
Fans were shocked to learn Nielsen was getting ready to raise another baby at the age of 54 — but the actress paid no attention to the haters.
“Happy time,” wrote Nielsen in another snap of her growing belly. “Positive vibes.”
Readers know the actress has recently turned her life around after years of battling with alcohol addiction.
After embarrassing drunk photos of her emerged in 2012, Nielsen told RadarOnline.com that she was not going to “let this momentary relapse define” her. “I’m not perfect, and I’m battling a disease, and yes, there will be setbacks, but I know what I need to do in order to be healthy,” she added at the time.
