Sadly, no.
Turns out, Brad Pitt's big bruise was caused by none other than a pair of flip-flops.
The actor appeared at the third annual Light Up the Blues Concert event in Hollywood for Autism Speaks on Saturday and explained the whole thing.

"This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip-flops," he said. "Turns out if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash."
Poor Brad! Guess that Fight Club sequel isn't happening after all.
