"Beyonce told friends that L.A. is just too far from her family, and said that there are way too many vultures here," the insider added.
After Lemonade was released, Jay Z kept silent for a while, despite divorce rumors.
But the veteran hip-hop artist had his say last month, releasing a rap on Tidal that addressed the issue for the first time.
"You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions," he rapped. "Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is / Survival of the littlest."
