This Sunday, the 2018 Billboard Music Awards brought tears, joy, rekindled friendships and a whole lot of love to the ritzy Las Vegas stage. From Taylor Swift giving side-eye to Camilla Cabello mending ties with an old pal, see the most shocking moments from the musical event.
Taylor Swift quickly became a viral meme when she gave viewers some hot attitude during Kelly Clarkson's performance of "Look What You Made Me Do." Sitting next to Shawn Mendes, the blonde bombshell bobbed her head, mouthed the words and gave some serious side eye to her haters as Clarkson sang her version of the hit single.
Janet Jackson gave the performance of a lifetime at the BBMAs when she went on stage to belt out "Nasty" in front of her mother and A-lister pals. After getting the crowd to their feet, the singer stood next to Bruno Mars, who presented her with the Billboard Icon Award following her — and her family's — many years in the industry. Jackson gave a touching speech as she proudly became the first black woman to ever receive the ritzy award. "We will no longer be controlled, manipulated or abused," she said, claiming she was "deeply humbled" by the incredible recognition.
Camila Cabello reunited with former BFF Normani Kordei for the first time since their Fifth Harmony Split on December 2016. The singing pals both took the BBMA stage with their musical collaborators, and later came together to pose for a series of cheeky selfies! Kordei was even spotted clapping for Cabello when she ran on-stage to accept her Achievement award.

Before her performance, Kelly Clarkson gave an inspiring speech about the Santa Fe Shooting, telling the star-studded audience that instead of having a "moment of silence" for the innocent lives lost, she wanted to make a "moment of action" and a "moments of change."
Shawn Mendes & Khalid also addressed the school shooting issue during their performances, giving Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students the spotlight in front of the BBMAs crowd. The kids sang next to the stars as moved celebrities got on their feet to give them a standing ovation.
