Ashley Olsen Having 'Very Rough Time' As She Reportedly Battles Incurable Disease

Ashley Olsen suddenly retired from the spotlight in 2012, announcing, “I don't like to be the center of attention anymore.”
But In Touch reports that the possible reason she was quitting show business actually had to do with her battle with Lyme disease.
"She's really sick," a source close to the Olsen twin told the publication.

The source claims the star was diagnosed with the disease, which spreads through tick bites, a few years ago.
According to the source, Olsen's condition "has flared up, so much that it's affecting her day-to-day life."
Lyme disease is incurable and causes symptoms including musculoskeletal pain, cognitive deficits and fatigue.
Those around Olsen have noticed she sometimes looks as if she's not doing well.
"Ashley's having a very rough time right now," says the source.
