Alex Rodriguez's Ex-Wife Cynthia Scurtis Speaks Out For The First Time Since Jennifer Lopez Engagement

Alex Rodriguez’s ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez managed to take the high road when RadarOnline.com questioned her about the A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez's engagement news.
Pictured exclusively by RadarOnline.com for the first time since A-Rod presented J-Lo with a whopping emerald-cut sparkler in the Bahamas, Cynthia, 46, looked noticeably annoyed when asked if she had anything to say about her former husband’s future wife.
“I’m happy for them,” she insisted with a scowl as she entered her Miami home after a stroll with her two-year-old daughter Camilla, who was tucked behind a veil in her pram on March 17, 2019. “Other than that I have no comment.”
Cynthia welcomed Camilla with her new fiancé, Miami high-end realtor, and fitness entrepreneur Angel Oscar. She shares daughters Natasha, 13, and Ella, 10, with Rodriguez, whom she married in 2002 but filed for divorce in 2008 on the grounds of infidelity and marital misconduct.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Cynthia was not a fan of the sexy singer, according to a resurfaced court documents published by the NY Daily News in July 2018.
The docs claimed A-Rod’s baby mama allegedly made “disparaging remarks” about J.Lo, 49, after claiming Rodriguez, 43, threatened to cut her child support payments for their two daughters.
As part of the case, which is ongoing, A-Rod’s lawyer is said to have claimed to have “possession of communications in which Cynthia allegedly made disparaging remarks about Rodriguez’s current girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez”.
The claims stem from Scurtis’ brother Constantine’s 2014 civil lawsuit against Rodriguez, where he accused the baseball legend of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment and civil conspiracy related to a real estate company they started together in 2003.
It was not specified what demeaning comments Cynthia made against Lopez.

Playing Nice
RadarOnline.com also approached Cynthia’s mother Evangeline, who admitted that the ongoing war between her daughter and A. Rod was “between them” — adding that former New York Yankee Rodriguez was “a good ex-husband and a good father."
Slow Down!
Lopez shared many pictures of her own children, twins Emme and Max, along with A-Rod’s daughters on social media.
Drama
Their rivalry boiled over last year — right around the time he began splurging on $15m New York apartment and a $6.6 million Malibu beach house with then-girlfriend Lopez. The couple’s main base is Rodriguez’s custom-built Coral Gables home — just five minutes from the $5.6 million mansion Cynthia shares with Angel, plus a $4 million Miami penthouse purchased in 2015.
Big Money
Now retired, it’s believed Rodriguez hauls in $20 million per year in endorsements and hosting roles. Lopez is worth $380 million.
Nice Words
“Alex has dated some wonderful women since our divorce, many of whom have had positive relationships with our children,” she told the New York Post.
“Alex and I have worked well trying to create a stable environment for our daughters, and there has never been an issue.”
Hot Water
Despite Cynthia and her mom’s outward support of Rodriguez in their conversations with RadarOnline.com, tensions have been simmering with the “Bronx Bomber” since 2014 — around the same time as he was busted taking steroids — when her brother Constantine launched a multi-million dollar civil case against him.
Bitter Battle
Constantine accused Alex of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment and civil conspiracy, claiming he was “forced” out of their joint company Newport Property Ventures in 2008 - the same year Cynthia divorced him.
As part of the case, which is ongoing, A-Rod’s lawyer is said to have claimed to have “possession of communications in which Cynthia allegedly made disparaging remarks about Rodriguez’s current girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez”.
Staying Out Of The Limelight
However, Cynthia — who now appears to have reverted to her maiden name of Scurtis as she prepares to marry again — insists Rodriguez and Lopez's child-support kick back has nothing to do with the court case involving her brother and ex.
“I lead a conventional life. I’m a mom. I would never try to disparage anyone Alex is dating,” Cynthia says. “It’s ridiculous. I try very hard to stay uninvolved. The subject of Jennifer Lopez is sensitive and better left not commented on in any way.”
