The Best, Worst & Wackiest On The Red Carpet At The 2013 Emmy Awards

WACKIEST: No, no, no Lena Dunham.

WORST: Beautiful silhouette, but Michelle Dockery’s choice of color makes her bold choice a bit of a mismatch.

WORST: Laura Dern is another actress who chose the right dress in the wrong color.

WACKIEST: Now we all know why the caged (canary) bird sings and it’s because Anna Faris has stolen his look!

WORST: Beautiful girl. Terrible dress. The side panels on Anna Chlumsky’s gown makes her look chunky, even though she isn’t.

WORST: With its sequins and dramatic neckline Heidi Klum’s Versace gown has a little too much going on.

BEST: Maria Menounos wows in this midnight blue Zac Posen dress.

BEST: Christina Hendricks’ fun, flattering gown harkens back to Hollywood’s golden age when zero was a number and not a dress size.

WORST: Mayim Bialik’s dress does her no justice. She looks like a Christmas tree adorned with strips of tinsel.

BEST: Aside from the Pepto-Bismol color Ariel Winter’s floor-length gown is cute but elegant.

BEST: Zooey Deschanel looks effortlessly cool and classy in this ice-cold blue number.

WORST: Sometimes older is not necessarily wiser as Emily Deschanel proves in this lace one-shoulder dress. In contrast to her sister Zooey, this star’s gown is more granny than glamour.

BEST: Sarah Hyland’s emerald dress is clearly her lucky charm. The Modern Family star dazzled in the lacy number.

BEST: Padma Lakshmi graces the red carpet with a flawless look. The sliver cutout adds a nice touch to an otherwise simple dress.

WACKIEST: Zosia Mamet’s dress is wacky…but in a good way. It’s almost as though she is wearing a painting, a canvas of flowers wrapped around her body.

WACKIEST: But for the polka-dotted see-through train, Amanda Peet’s gown would have put her on the list of one of the better-dressed stars of the night. Instead the touch of quirk fails to impress.

BEST: Aubrey Plaza dares to be different in this long-sleeved lace gown and it works.

BEST: Morgan Saylor works this black and white Honor gown.
