A woman in Texas has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her husband and then drove a vehicle with their three kids inside into a retention pond, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Around 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 17, officers were called to a home in Carrollton regarding a man who claimed he was stabbed by his wife before she took off from the home, as Front Page Detectives reported.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, officials said.
Later that morning, a 911 call came in regarding a woman and her children inside a vehicle that was driven into a retention pond in nearby Lewisville, KXAS reported.
According to authorities, the oldest child managed to free himself by the time police arrived on the scene.
One of the officers was able to grab another child and revive them with CPR. Firefighters were able to extricate a third child from the vehicle and they were resuscitated while being rushed to the hospital, officials said.
Police said the ages of the children are 12, 9 and 8. Two of the children are in stable condition and a third is in critical condition, but it has not been confirmed which child is in critical condition.
Responders were also able to pull the mother from the vehicle and she was conscious and taken to the hospital for review, police said.
Police determined the woman driving the vehicle is the wife of the man who reported being stabbed, KXAS reported.
The woman, identified as Wei Fen Ong, was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, according to the Denton County District Attorney’s Office.

Ong is being held in the Denton County Jail, officials said.
Family members have been notified and are cooperating with the police investigation, authorities said.
A witness at the retention pond told KXAS, “I saw what I thought was an accident but it turned out, I guess, a little bit more than an accident. I’m not really religious but if I was, I’d pray for the family. I hope that they are okay.”
