A Texas woman has been arrested after she allegedly abandoned her 8-month-old daughter, who was found in a stroller on the side of the road, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call on Oct. 28 from just outside of Athens about a stroller with a young child left near their driveway, as Front Page Detectives reported.

A 911 caller found an 8-month-old baby in a stroller abandoned in their driveway.

First responders spoke with the homeowners at the scene while EMS checked on the child.

The HCSO posted a photo of the unidentified girl on their social media pages in an attempt to find out if anyone knew who she was.

Police released a photo of the baby on their social media pages to try and get help finding out who she was.

Deputies said they received a call from Aliza Perez.

She told dispatchers she needed to turn herself in for leaving the child, authorities said.

Police arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.

Investigators confirmed Perez was the mother of the little girl and said they determined she had left her on the roadside.

The victim's mother was found and arrested at a shopping center nearby, police said.

Perez was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail.

She was charged with abandoning or endangering a child.
