Steph Curry's Mom Sonya Files For Divorce From Basketball Player's Dad Dell After 33 Years Of Marriage
It's over for Steph Curry's parents. The basketball legend's mom Sonya has filed for divorce from Dell after 33 years of marriage.
According to reports, Curry's 55-year-old mother decided to officially pull the plug on their decades-long marriage, filing the paperwork on June 14 in North Carolina.
The filing went under the RadarOnline.com for months, but a court official allegedly confirmed Sonya and Dell's divorce is ongoing.
The now-estranged couple has known each other for most of their lives, ever since they met at Virginia Tech, where they both played athletics.
Steph is Sonya and Dell's oldest child at 33 years old. They welcomed him in 1988, but they also have another son in the NBA.
While the duo are often seen in the stands cheering on the Golden State Warriors champion — whose real name is Wardell Stephen Curry —they are also proud parents of Seth Curry, 31, and Sydel Curry, 26.
Sonya and Dell's family eat, breathe, and sleep sports.

While Steph is the leader of his team, his brother plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. As for the former couple's daughter, Sydel played in the CAA Conference for Elon Phoenix University's women's volleyball team.
Sonya and Dell tied the knot the same year they welcomed Steph.
It's unclear exactly what caused their split after three decades of marriage.
In 2019, they were seen looking lovey-dovey while sitting in the stands watching their sons play against each other in the NBA playoffs.
Sonya and Dell made headlines when they sported matching jackets featuring both the Warriors and Trail Blazers' logos on them.
While Steph's parents' marriage is falling apart, the Golden State Warriors player's is thriving.
He recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary with wife Ayesha Curry. Showcasing their love all over social media, Steph wrote, "Est. 2011 to 2021 10 Yrs. My woman. Never a day goes by I’m not thankful for your presence, your beauty, your spirit! Sexy as can be inside and out & continuing to show me how amazing our God is by the creation that you are. Blessed me with the 3 of the dopest humans around. You are the [key emoji] to everything that I do. This is a major milestone- but more a moment to get excited about the next chapters ahead. Lucky I’m (still) in love with my best friend. To Antares and back."
