Justin Bieber's Manager Scooter Braun Sued For $50 Million, Called 'Sheep In Wolves Clothing' After Failing To Raise 'Promised $700 Million' From Famous Friends, He Fires Back With His Own Lawsuit
Scooter Braun is being called a "sheep in wolves clothing" by a former Goldman Sachs partner who said the famous music manager failed to deliver his "promised $700 million" for their boutique firm.
Peter Comisar is suing Braun for $50 million, claiming the music executive breached their contract.
According to Comisar, Braun -- whose famous clients include Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and more -- deceived him into leaving his lucrative job at Guggenheim Securities and "aggressively courted" him to join Scope Capital Partners that he said was backed by several of his bigwig friends.
Braun allegedly promised he could collect between $500 million and $700 million from entertainment executives like Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine, DreamWorks co-founder David Geffen, and Saban Entertainment founder Haim Saban, Comisar claims in the lawsuit.
The music manager even called Geffen his "godfather" in an alleged attempt to prove their friendship.
But in 2017, Braun allegedly "executed contractual commitments to support the new venture," promising Comisar an annual salary of $3 million, according to the court documents.
Comisar says Braun failed to deliver the promised $700 million investment money, and by 2018, stopped paying his salary, therefore breaching their contract.

He's suing for $50 million in compensatory damages plus unspecific punitive damages.
"Braun, by all outward appearance, was the real deal," the lawsuit reads.
Braun, in return, has filed a counter lawsuit against Comisar, calling for a "judicial intervention to end Peter's unlawful, extortionate and opportunistic threats against him."
Braun is famous for discovering Justin Bieber. He is also known for going head-to-head with Taylor Swift over the rights of her music.
Last year, he sold the masters for her first six albums to the private equity firm Shamrock Holdings for a whopping $300 million.
Taylor Swift, in return, rerecorded the music and urged her followers to buy the latest versions.
