Rihanna's Estranged Dad, Who She Once Sued, Claims Pregnant Singer Called Him To Deliver Baby News
Motherhood is causing Rihanna to make amends, and she's starting with her father, Ronald Fenty.
According to the singer's dad, who she sued in 2019 after accusing him of using her name for money, RiRi called him personally to tell him she's expecting her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
While it would appear the two are now on speaking terms, the 9-time Grammy winner didn't give him too much of a heads up before revealing the news to the world.
Speaking to Page Six, Ronald says his famous daughter dialed him on Sunday night with the baby bombshell.
“I just got the news from her last night, and she sent me some photos,” he told the outlet from his home in Barbados Monday. “I’m just over the moon. She’s beautiful inside and out.”
Re-emphasizing his excitement over Rihanna's baby-to-be, Ronald continued, "I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited." He has no doubt that his daughter is going to make an excellent mother.
“Rihanna always said that she wanted children, she loves kids. She always takes care of her cousins’ kids…she’s going to be a good mom," her father added.

Ronald met A$AP, who he calls "very cool," in December 2020 when Rihanna brought the rapper to her home country. He's happy his daughter is expecting with A$AP, telling Page Six, “I like him.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, Rihanna shocked the world when she revealed her baby bump this morning. Photos showing her and A$AP embracing her pregnancy splashed across the internet.
The Love The Way You Lie singer glowed while cradling her growing belly.
Making her baby announcement fashion-forward, as only Rihanna can, she dressed her curves in a long pink puffer jacket and left all of the buttons undone. Dressing her bump with belly chains, the focus immediately went on the expecting mother.
A$AP stood beside Rihanna in the photos, sweetly kissing her forehead.
Hours before the big baby announcement, the singer managed to keep her bump under wraps while she attended the Los Angeles Rams vs. San Fransisco 49ers playoff game at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
As for her relationship with Ronald, it appears RiRi made up with her dad after dropping the lawsuit against him in September.
