Queen Elizabeth is ditching her longstanding "never complain, never explain" policy and will no longer be silent as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to feed "mistruths" about the royal family.
Her Majesty has instructed her team to push back on the false narratives about her family and address any rumors regarding her private conversations with the couple, reports Daily Mail.
This bold move comes as speculation continues to grow over whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex asked permission to crown their newborn daughter with the Queen's childhood nickname Lilibet.
An insider told the outlet, the latest drama with the couple's name choice has pushed the Queen "over the edge."
While a furious Harry fought back and insisted that he would have never given their daughter that name without his grandmother's permission, other outlets are reporting that's not the case.
A royal insider alleges the conversation between Harry and the Queen was more of "a telling, not an asking."
Using his and Meghan's close friend Omid Scobie to release a statement, the enraged prince insisted his grandmother was the first royal family member the couple called following their child on June 3.
Harry doubled down on his side of the story by threatening legal action against the BBC.
Shooting down the reports, Harry and Meghan's statement read, "The Duke spoke with his family in advance of the announcement, in fact his grandmother was the first family member he called."
"During that conversation, he shared their hope of naming their daughter Lilibet in her honour. Had she not been supportive, they would not have used the name," it continued.
Following Harry's explosive clap back statement, BBC amended its report; however, their article still reads that the Queen was not asked by the couple for permission before using the name.
The latest move by the Queen will no doubt cause added tension among the royals as Harry and Meghan prep their face-to-face meeting with the family for Princess Diana's statue unveiling.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Meghan will accompany her husband to the special event despite the drama.
