Prince Harry has earned the nickname "Flirty Harry" after messages resurfaced.

The messages, which emerged as part of the case heard before Mr Justice Nicklin, revealed a tone that included teasing remarks, affectionate sign-offs, and references to drinking together and "movie snuggles."

At the time, Harry said he believed he had only briefly encountered Griffiths at a party and had cut off contact upon discovering she was a journalist, but the messages suggest a more extended and friendly exchange.

A source close to the situation claimed, "This has led to Harry picking up the nickname 'Flirty Harry' because of the tone of those messages, and Meghan Markle is fuming that all of this is now doing the rounds.

"Meghan feels it is embarrassing and frustrating, especially given how hard they have worked to control their narrative, and now these old conversations are being picked apart publicly."

The Duke exchanged playful Facebook messages with reporter Charlotte Griffiths.

Another insider claimed: "The fact that the messages come across as so playful and familiar has left Meghan particularly unhappy that this side of Harry is being highlighted in such a public way."

The exchanges, revealed in court documents, show Harry initiating contact by identifying himself before engaging in light-hearted conversation with Griffiths, who at the time worked as deputy diary editor at the Mail on Sunday.

The pair joked about social events, mutual friends, and late-night gatherings, with Griffiths referring to him as "Mr Mischief" and "H Bomb," while Harry used affectionate terms and informal language.

In one message, Harry wrote about missing a party and said he would have enjoyed "drinking u under the table," while also referencing shared downtime with the phrase "Miss our movie snuggles."

The journalist referred to the royal as 'Mr Mischief' and 'H Bomb.'

The tone of the messages suggested a degree of familiarity that contrasted with Harry's later statement to the court he had minimal contact with Griffiths after learning of her profession.

Griffiths told the court she had moved in similar social circles to the younger royals at the time and recalled being added by Harry on Facebook in 2011, after which they exchanged messages and attended at least one party hosted by a mutual friend.

She also described how they communicated following the event, including a late-night call and text messages the next morning.

Harry, giving evidence earlier in the proceedings, maintained he had "no idea" Griffiths was part of his wider social circle and insisted he had only met her once, adding he had distanced himself after discovering she was a journalist.

Markle's 'eye rolls' were a common occurrence on set, according to Patrick J. Adams.

The case forms part of a wider legal action brought by several high-profile figures, including Elton John, against Associated Newspapers over alleged unlawful information gathering. Closing submissions have now been heard, with a judgment expected at a later date.

The resurfacing of the messages has added a new dimension to public scrutiny surrounding Harry, particularly given his ongoing legal battles with sections of the British press.

For Markle, 44, the renewed attention on past communications is said to be an unwelcome development as the couple continues to navigate their relationship with the media.

Insiders said the episode has reignited discussion about Harry's past interactions with journalists, with the tone and content of the messages drawing particular attention as details continue to emerge through the court proceedings.
