Piers Morgan Scoffs At Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Over Newborn Daughter's Name, Says It's 'Ironic' They Chose To Honor Queen Elizabeth Amid Royal Family Feud
Piers Morgan just won't quit his Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hate train; this time, taking aim at their newborn daughter's name.
The controversial former Good Morning Britan star appeared on Australia's Today show to scoff at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to name their second child after Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the 39-year-old kicked off her weekend by giving birth!
They announced the birth of their newborn daughter and revealed the unique name they gave her to pay tribute to both the late Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.
Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on Friday, June 4.
Releasing a statement regarding the birth, they also explained why they chose the name.
“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales," the statement from the couple's press secretary said on Sunday.

It took less than 24 hours for Meghan's archnemesis to address their controversial decision.
"It's quite ironic, isn't it?" Piers told Today host Karl Stefanovic on Monday when asked about the name.
Piers added, "You have this couple who have been trashing the Royal Family and the monarchy for the last few weeks and they have named the baby after the Queen."
When asked if this was Meghan and Harry's attempt at rebuilding their relationship with the royal family, Piers laughed and replied, "Maybe it's their way of reaching out, as the Americans say, to the royals and wanting some kind of end to this on-running feud."
During the interview, he seemed to backtrack on his words and offered some kind words for the couple who he's known for notoriously bashing.
"I always think when a new baby is born - I've had four myself - it's churlish to put any negative slant," he said. "At such a moment. I wish them all the very best. There is four in the family now. I wish them every success and a long and happy life."
Ironically, days prior, Piers launched a full-blown attack on Meghan, claiming everything that comes out of her mouth are "downright lies."
