Obamas, Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Remain Quiet Amid Joe Rogan's N-Word Scandal, Yet To Back Out Of Million-Dollar Spotify Deals
Barack and Michelle Obama, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle are still on Spotify despite the recent revelation that Joe Rogan repeatedly used the N-word during episodes of his multi-million-dollar podcast on the streaming service platform.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, both Prince Harry and his wife called on the streaming giant – which they signed a $20 million dollar multi-year deal with in December 2020 – “to ensure changes” be brought to their platform following the controversy concerning Rogan and his blatant spreading of misinformation.
But now, following The Joe Rogan Experience host’s racist comments resurfacing left and right, the royal couple have not said anything and apparently have no plans to remove their content in protest of Rogan’s comments.
The same goes for the Obamas, who despite reports that they are “preparing to shop for a new podcast partner” still have their podcasts available to stream.
The former President and First Lady’s Higher Ground Audio company reportedly signed a three-year deal with Spotify in 2019 worth upwards of $100 million, which in turn brought shows such as Barack and Bruce Springsteen’s Renegades: Born in the USA, the Michelle Obama Podcast, Tell Them, I Am, and The Big Hit Show to the embattled platform.

Yet, despite Rogan’s racist comments and the backlash Spotify is currently facing, the Obamas have yet to remove any of their content from the streaming service, nor have they signaled they plan to remove their content.
They haven't even commented on the current controversy surrounding Rogan’s racist behavior and comments.
Recently, a number of racist comments made by Rogan on his Spotify podcast resurfaced, including a number of instances in which he used the N-word. He compared entering a mostly black neighborhood as stepping into the world of Planet of the Apes.
"I haven't said it in years. But for a long time, when I would bring that word up, if it would come up in conversations, instead of saying 'the N-word,' I would just say the word," Rogan said in a damage control apology after his racist comments resurfaced.
“It looks f---ing horrible. Even to me,” he added.
Still, despite others – such as India Arie – calling on Spotify to emove their content over Rogan’s comments, the Obamas, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle’s podcasts all still remain.
